Campaign

Artaxerxes Ahura is the leader for the Qourites Temple Bastion. Created by Thangaldt Soulbinder as an independent titan, he proved too successful in installing ambition in his creation. Artaxerxes quickly overthrew his shackles, imprisoned Soulbinder and asserted control over the Qourites through raw force. Previously isolated Qourite has started quickly expanding after the defeat of a local necromantic cabal opened raw territory to exploit. Artaxerxes Ahura appears on the battlefield with a far greater regularity than Thangaldt did, booming commands from his expanded viewpoint while smashing through the enemy’s elites.

He views the military differently than other generals tending to rely upon abyssal dwarves rather than enslaved races. Ahura has been able to maintain an increased military population with an odd incentive. Those that die in battle are stripped of all wealth and distributed one to one to the surviving regiment. While seeming to entice backstabbing the desire to survive the battle limits self inflicted casualties and produces a desire to mix the veteran and new soldiers. The veterans desiring hopefully inexperienced warriors that perish quickly, and the young soldiers hoping to inherit the large fortune of a career soldier. This mixing prevents the loss of experienced regiments and increased development as the surviving young quickly pick up experience from the veterans.
