King Ryan of the Icy Peaks, or as many now call him, the Mad King, has fallen deeper into paranoid delusion with each passing year. The haunting screams of his dungeon’s victims echo across the icy mountain ranges in the darkest hours of the night, chilling travelers across the frozen tundra more than the winter wind. Somewhere inbetween his sickened babeling and wailing nightmares the Mad King became convinced his son, Prince Ryan, was in grave danger when the only danger in the castle was the king himself.
He locked Edgar away deep underground. There the prince matured in a totally niavee state. He knew nothing of his father’s cruelty until the warrior Mogar freed Edgar under the haunting light of a full moon. By the time the Mad King learned of his son’s kidnapping Edgar had already seen the suffering of his people. Edgar pleaded with Mogar to train him in the art of war and help him return one day at the head of a great army, ready to reclaim his ancestrial birth right and end the northern tribe’s bondage. Mogar agreed and has since stood by his pupil. One day Edgar plans to return empowered by Domivar’s shard. Until then the two traverse the countryside, biding their time and earnestly searching for their chance to stop the Mad King.
